BitRun is a zero-compile runner and terminal dashboard for 1-bit and 1.58-bit ternary language models on CPU. It manages the models, runs them without a build toolchain and shows live wattage telemetry, claiming 70+ tokens per second on laptops and support for 8B models on Apple Silicon and x86_64. It is at v0.2.0-beta.
Be the first to rate BitRun. Your feedback helps other users decide.
Models are downloaded and run without cloning C++ submodules or configuring a toolchain.
Real-time wattage telemetry is shown in the terminal cockpit.
It targets Apple Silicon and x86_64 CPUs rather than a GPU.

Five Show HN launches that keep work on your machine: a ternary model runner, a distillation proxy, a PostgreSQL client, CAD over MCP and a local ETL builder.
Nine new tools that put something deterministic between an agent and what it touches: gateways, policy firewalls, AST breakers, SQL guards and usage ceilings.
Nine new tools for evidence rather than dashboards: signed records, decision logs, MCP analytics, protocol tests, sandboxes and long-running agent supervision.
Nine new tools aimed at the same wall from different angles: indexed wikis, stale memory, knowledge graphs, reversible compression and multi-agent rooms.
Nine launches that keep work on your own hardware: a model storage server, offline file search, native dictation, ARM64 VMs and a single-binary coding agent.
