Foremerge is an open-source coordination protocol for coding agents, built above Git. Agents keep isolated worktrees while sharing intent, semantic claims, dependencies, provisional changesets, decisions, validation and provenance, so collisions surface before they land. It is written in Rust, ships a CLI, a JSON API, an MCP server and a SQLite store, and installs by pasting one line into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
