Hopper is an agentic TN3270 terminal, described as the first agentic development environment for the mainframe. It uses AI agents to navigate TN3270 screens, inspect datasets, write JCL, debug jobs, and query VSAM from a modern development environment inside z/OS. It is aimed at the shrinking pool of engineers who maintain mainframe systems and want agent help there. A Windows download is available, with other platforms noted.
