Recast is a Smalltalk application that uses an LLM to repair itself while it runs. A failing call supplies the stack, method source, receiver state and tests, and a separate VM checks the proposed repair before the application replaces the method in its live image.
Be the first to rate Recast. Your feedback helps other users decide.
The first call fails, investigation and verification run asynchronously, the image applies the accepted patch, and the next call succeeds.
A separate VM verifies a proposed repair before the running application adopts it, with no rebuild or restart.
GUIDE.md walks through booting, editing live code, breaking the app and promoting the result, with an offline fake LLM option.
