SafeBox is a local guardrail layer that sits between an AI coding agent and infrastructure tools such as Terraform and the AWS CLI. Deterministic TOML policy rules decide which commands pass, blocking destructive operations like terraform destroy before they reach the real executable.
Be the first to rate SafeBox. Your feedback helps other users decide.
The default policy stops terraform destroy, kubectl delete, aws ec2 terminate-instances and similar operations.
Rules are explicit TOML files, so a verdict never depends on asking an AI whether a command looks safe.
SafeBox sits earlier in PATH than the real binary, so planning and read operations pass through untouched.

Five Show HN launches about where agents run: an incident benchmark, a policy guardrail, a container orchestrator, a one-megabyte C agent and a 3D code world.
Nine launches that keep work on your own hardware: a model storage server, offline file search, native dictation, ARM64 VMs and a single-binary coding agent.
Nine Show HN launches beneath the model: filesystems, snapshots, gateways and deploy tools that decide what an agent sees and what survives.
Nine launches that check agent work: per-call access policy, MCP server vetting, runtime verification, readable diffs and a hard stop at 95%.
Nine Show HN launches sitting under the agent: a model gateway, vectorless retrieval, on-device inference, an MCP browser layer and connectors for real systems.
