ScsSubst gives any folder on Windows its own drive letter, so a deep project path becomes a short one and opens in Explorer like a normal disk. It uses pure Windows APIs with no third-party file-system driver, supports several mappings at once, can remount saved mappings at startup, and ships as a small portable, ad-free build. The pitch for agent work is containment: map a dedicated folder to a drive, point your tools there, and a mistaken delete stays on that drive instead of reaching the rest of the machine.

Pick a folder and a drive letter, click Connect, and optionally remount it when the app starts.
Point agent tools at that drive so overreach cannot reach your other disks.
Add multiple mappings, each with its own letter, one per project.
