Singularity is memory for coding agents. When an agent commits a change it records the task, the files changed and the commands run; when a later session starts a similar task in the same repository it points the agent at that commit and lists the check scripts earlier sessions ran, and the agent can look up a past change mid-task. It helps most where the repository does not already hold the answer, such as a check script a past session wrote outside the repository, and where the agent starts without memory of its own โ Codex and Gemini CLI by default, or Claude Code with auto memory off.

Let it capture the task, files and commands each time your agent commits.
When a similar task begins, the agent is pointed at the earlier commit and its check scripts.
The agent can query a past change while it is working rather than only at the start.
