Xet Server is a Go server that is wire-compatible with Hugging Face's Xet storage protocol, the content-defined-chunking, dedup-first storage layer that replaces Git LFS for large model files on the Hub. You can point the real hf CLI (huggingface_hub plus hf_xet) at it and use hf upload and hf download, with byte-identical round-trips, real BLAKE3 hashing, real xorb and shard binary formats, and real LZ4 and byte-grouping compression.
Be the first to rate Xet Server. Your feedback helps other users decide.
Serve large model files from your own infrastructure with the standard Xet protocol.
Use the real hf CLI against a local server when the Hub is unreachable.
Read a from-scratch, spec-driven reimplementation verified end-to-end against a live Hub.
