Enzyme is a local-first compile step for knowledge bases. It reads how your Markdown notes are already organised (folders, tags, links and dates) and builds a local index, so coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex can query your wiki instead of re-reading it. The project claims roughly 350x lower cost and 1000x faster retrieval than handing the same notes to a frontier model.
Be the first to rate Enzyme. Your feedback helps other users decide.
Let a coding agent read the structure of your notes rather than pasting them into a chat.
Query folders, tags, links and dates from an index that stays on your machine.
Replace repeated full-note reads with indexed lookups during long agent sessions.
