MLX Direct Decider turns an MLX model you already have into a local decision engine on Apple Silicon, with no fine-tuning and no extra decision-model weights. You supply application state, a natural-language request and the allowed choices; the full model processes the prompt normally and the library reads candidate logits from its unchanged original output head without generating a continuation. It returns a stable candidate ID, no_match or abstain, and is available through a Python API, a CLI or a local text HTTP service. Use it for action selection, classification, semantic routing and enum or boolean decisions.

Send state, a request and allowed choices; get back a stable candidate ID, no_match or abstain.
Use it for classification and routing where you want a probability rather than prose.
Run the local text HTTP service or call the Python API from your own code.
