Squishling is a Ruby gem built on the idea that code is a cache for AI judgment. A squished method either runs its Ruby implementation with the LLM as a failover, or routes some callers through an LLM as a way of eliminating or discovering the cost of maintaining that path as deterministic code. Either way it returns the same strict-schema-validated, typed result, so callers cannot tell the difference. The project ships an explainer site with a spectrum slider, a token-cost calculator for pricing tech debt in tokens against code upkeep, and a walkthrough.
Be the first to rate Squishling. Your feedback helps other users decide.
Declare what you want back and leave the method to the model, with the Ruby implementation as failover.
Drag the spectrum slider from traditional software to fully LLM and see the cost at each point.
Tune the shape, then harden the inputs that carry real volume into real code.
